To enable you to unleash your full potential, you will become part of our team right from the very start, receiving a thorough induction in the form of training on the job. During this induction period you will be supported and supervised by a mentor, who will be there to help you establish contacts, familiarise you with both written and unwritten rules and show you round your new company. On top of this, you will receive an on-the-job training plan which sets out a timetable for the subjects to be covered over at least one year and you will have orientation and feedback discussions with superiors.

Process engineering
Your duties as a process engineer will first of all comprise the entire process design of the chemical plants to be engineered in close cooperation with the customer and licensors. In performing this task, you will work with the design engineers, whom you will provide with the data required to design the plant-specific components and piping. During the bid phase you will also be approached to prepare bids and conduct negotiations with our customers. These duties are rounded off by commissioning of the plants you design.
Plant design
Your duties in the plant design department will include the development, design and calculation of equipment components based on the process engineering department’s specifications as well as the design and calculation of piping systems. The individual functional components of the plant will also need to be arranged, taking into account the overall conceptual design. You will control the gathering and evaluation of information as well as the organisation of workflow steps up to and including quality control. State-of-the-art data processing and CAD systems (including 3D design) are available for these tasks. Occasionally, you will also be required to travel abroad to supervise detail engineering and erection activities.
Engineering
A wide variety of tasks which will form an excellent basis for your further career await you in this field: as a process and project engineer your tasks will include the configuration and design of all offsites and auxiliaries as well as the specification, selection and processing of the appurtenant systems; as a machine specialist you will be responsible for the conceptual design, specification, selection and processing of all prime movers and machines; as an electrical or instrumentation engineer you will design and service all electrical equipment, DCSs, other control units, instrumentation, analysers and laboratory equipment; as a civil engineer you will be responsible for the planning and design of infrastructure, underground systems, and steel an d other structures including buildings.
For all these tasks you will be equipped with state-of-the art design tools and an excellent infrastructure. By assisting with both detail engineering services in other operating units of the company as well as commissioning activities, you will also have an opportunity to gain extensive know-how in your specialist area and beyond.
